Story circle studio

Welcome to the Studio

Working with oil paints can be messy and drawn out but, it allows me to mix permanent colors that don’t shift values as they dry. Oils also allow for dramatic canvas sizes. And that is my kind of drama.

Watercolors are a fantastically wild medium, you just never know what that water will do... I love to use Japanese watercolors on French Cold Pressed Paper. The results are organic and mesmerizing at any size.

A Few Things

About Me

I was an Art Director for international advertising agencies working with a range of clients including Lucas Films, Barclays Global Investors and Sutter Health. After my second child was born, I decided to stay home to raise my children. This is when I started to paint everyday as my creative outlet. My husband didn’t understand my obsession with circles. So, I started telling the story that inspired them. This was a hit. I was able to turn the storytelling I used to sell consumer products into explaining the twists and turns of my everyday life by word and art. Now each painting has a story. It turned out I was not the only person feeling my feelings. Tim Collom Gallery gave me my first, second and third solo art shows. In five short years I have accumulated collectors all across the United States and Europe.
